We are delighted that you have expressed an interest in becoming a member of Calvary Chapel Pasadena. To help you understand the privileges and responsibilities of membership, we have listed a few points we consider important. Please read them carefully before making an application for membership. We exsist to help others encounter the Lord's presence Daily.

First we ask that you attend services for a minimum of two months (beginning with the first visit). During this time take an active part in as much as possible and attend each weekly service. This will give you a bigger picture, of what our church is about, what our vision and heart is, and the areas of ministry offered to you and your family. 

Second, if you are a new in your relationship with the Lord, or have just recently recommitted your life to Him, we host discipleship classes strategically throughout the year. Please be on the look out for more information regardling this. We want you to be equipped and encouraged weekly in your walk with the Lord. 

Third, we ask that you seek the Lord in prayer on this decision. We believe membership in the church where God wants you is critical to fulfilling Gods purpose for your life. So we ask that you please pray concerning this decision. We want the Lord to guide and direct your steps in every area of your life. 

There are several "privileges" you can expect as a member.

1. Fellowship, friendship, love and support of other believers is extended to every member without regard for race, age, or sex. We believe every believer is a member of the body of Christ and receives equality in regard to respect, love and fellowship. Our desire if for you to spiritually GROW! You will grow closer to Jesus by planting here. Psalms declares: Planted in the house of the Lord you will flourish.

2. Opportunity to serve. We believe serving the Lord in ministry is a privilege and a big part of your fufilling your calling as a believer. We welcome you to share your time, talent and special abilities with this body of believers. Membership is not meant to be a guaranteed seat on Sundays. We encourage you to serve the Lord in some area of ministry at least monthly.

3. Another privilege is that of giving financially to the Kingdom of God through this local church. We believe that as a believer it is our privledge and responsiblity to give as the scripture commands (see Malachi 3:8-11 (the tithe), Luke 6:38 (offerings) and share in the support of the church and its various ministries. As you come into covenant with God through giving, you can expect the blessing of Gods promises on us and our families.

4. We encourage each member to take an active part in the church ministry and in worship. Our experience is that the more you involve yourself and family in the community of believers the more you will receive and be blessed.
